I went to Skylink for my initial CFI. Herman is great. The promised schedule was stretched by weather and another candidate putting gear down in an Arrow, then changing his mind. If you change direction in mid-cycle a high pressure hydraulic hose
blows. Herman allowed me to help with the repairs, a great learning experience! When the DE asked how the gear worked, I started my diagram with the shuttle valve. He was very impressed (don't think he understood the system to that level himself.)
Herman took a small disaster and turned it into a learning experience. We speak on the phone occasionally and I have recommended Skylink to all of my CFI candidates.
