• What the heck is FUKENGRUVEN?

The best one I ever had the pleasure driving to witness was the pencil man drawn with a halo and bubbles around his head, stumbling with a martini glass in his hand and the word parody was 'ALFUKTUPNBARFINPUKEN'

It may say "the joy of driving", but in a local VW with this sign on the back window, 3 men got out of their car and beat up a 50 year old man pretty badly. A word to the wise...

.. as spotted on an imported US-Golf. "FUKENGRUVEN"... Wasn't the
word "Fahrvergnügen" (joy of driving)? The sticker had the pencilman
on it but I can't get the word out of my head.
Yes - the US ad slogan circa 1990 was Fahrvergnügen but a later bumper sticker (I have one) did a pun on it and said Fukengrüven and had the
little stick guy in a sort of dancing pose.
BTW - the little stick guy actually has a name - Otto Bahn. :-) Saw
it at the bottom of a VW ad where it was mentioned that VW had a
    trademark on it.
