One week today at 13:00 hours the 26th running of the Derby HO Racing
Club’s Le Mans 24-hour race will begin in the Rolls-Royce Leisure Sports
Hall in Derby England.
Run on the World’s Largest (233’ 4” - Eight Lane) purpose built (by Brad Bowman in Escondido, California) routed ‘Scalextric” replica of the
1970s Le Mans track, eight teams will compete for 24 hours to take top
honours in this International Event.
With teams from the USA and drivers from France it will bring together
all cultures of HO slot racing from around the World.
Admission is free for all to see these little missiles sweeping passed
Tokyo based Endo Ryotaro’s incredible 1970s Le Mans Pits complex and
flashing under Flagstaff, Arizona (USA) based Heath Norton’s Dunlop Bridge.
For the first time in 26 years we are changing chassis with the Orem,
Utah (USA) based Dan Cronin supplying the Viper Scale Racing brass
weighted V-Jets run under Razorlite HO lexan Porsche 917 bodies, which
replace the trusty Tomy Turbo chassis.
Runnemede, New Jersey (USA) based Roger Porcelli has also provided his
RPMs gearing for the rear axle.
These changes together with the introduction of the Gold, Silver and
Bronze drivers will make it the most open event in many years.
Come and join us and be part of the amazing atmosphere as the hands go
around the clock twice over the weekend of 10/11Nov18
