    The last time I bet on a motor race was at Brands Hatch when Ladbroke

    tent there. I made a modest investment on Roger Williamson to win the F3 race. Roger duly obliged and my winnings
    paid for beer for the rest of the weekend.

    and that got me thinking of my old Elden, turns out it raced there 1973.

    Thanks for that, a great reminder of how exciting F3 was at that time.

    I see that Andy Sutcliffe drove an Elden. I well remember stopping in the middle of the night to help retrieve his trailer, complete with F3 car,
    from a ditch somewhere in France on the way to Monaco. Sadly Andy died recently.
