Westwood...Early 60's...I never saw it as an adult nor ever drive
it...and it was so long ago that there's not a lot of video...but it was
an Epic wonder of the world while it lived...
Lee Fjellanger In your photo in the far distance center, is the top of
the hill called "Deers Leap" and it was fairly steep. On the far right
was the tightest hairpin on the West coast. At a race at Westwood they
combined FF, FB, FC in with us FVs. I go over Deer's Leap and wooop, 3
of these faster cars pass me, and pull over in front of me on the left,
and suddenly I'm seeing 400 rpm more than I'd ever seen before,,,,,
sadly it was as I passed my braking spot! Excitement!
