• Is the Las Vegas GP from Nov 16 to 18 or Nov 17 to 19?

From Mr Gobrien@21:1/5 to All on Sat May 20 07:55:37 2023
    The official F1 calendar is confusing;

    This page says Nov 16 to 18 - www.formula1.com/en/racing/2023.html

But this page says Nov 17 to 19 - www.formula1.com/en/racing/2023/Las_Vegas.html

    Both are for 2023.

(Fri, Sat, Sun are the normal days nowadays of course - Nov 17 to 19 - some races used to be on a Saturday of course)

Does anyone know the correct dates for sure and why the official F1 calendar inconsistency?

so the race is on a saturday evening 10pm in las vegas and saturday late night (3am etc) in the uk?

saturday races are very unusual these days.

i'm after the days of the week (in the uk) really not the times - the race is on saturday late night or sunday late night?

Time zones. For example the race starts on 18 November at 22:00 local,
which is 1 AM on 19 November on the US east coast and even later in Europe.

Here's the schedule in local (Pacific Daylight, UTC-7) time according to Autosport:

    16 Nov
    20:30
    FP1

    17 Nov
    00:00
    FP2

    17 Nov
    20:30
    FP3

    18 Nov
    00:00
    QU

    18 Nov
    22:00
    Race

Yes, but when I typed "Pacific Daylight, UTC-7" that was an error; since
the event is in November the local times given are Pacific Standard,
which is UTC-8. Ten PM Saturday in Las Vegas would be 6 AM in the UK.

Sunday early morning in the UK.

Here's a list of all the World Championship GPs held on other than Sunday:

Even discounting the Indy 500 there were quite a few, although none
    since 1985 until Las Vegas.
