system is deployed and tested in accordance with TD/011-19, were not fulfilled."

The matter was referred to the Stewards, the team was summoned, and
three hours later the Stewards issued the following:

"The Stewards hereby order the Technical Delegate to supervise the
removal of the rear wing assembly of Car 44, and to impound this part

transition of Car 44 into overnight conditions, permitting only those

Looks like stewards would be busy. Verstappen is also summoned by
stewards - for inspecting car #44 too closely.

Article 2.5.1 of the ISC reads: “Inside the Parc Fermé, only the
officials assigned may enter. No operation, checking, tuning or repair
is allowed unless authorised by the same officials or by the applicable regulations.”

A fan video (below) from the grandstand at Interlagos showed Verstappen
going over to Hamilton’s car and touching his rear wing in parc ferme,
which may be in breach of the ISC regulation.

A "get your hand slapped" level of violation, maybe, but it may not even
    be that.

What it looks like is that Verstappen saw something about Hamilton's
wing that looked a little off, and so took a closer look.

I'm not sure a closer look--even one that includes touching the wing--constitutes "checking" as meant in the rule, and it's certainly
    not "tuning or repair".

He touches his own rear wing in two different places, then repeats.
Whether he moves or flexes anything, or just feels the surfaces, it
certainly appears to be "checking" (as opposed to casual contact) within
the common meaning of the word. But perhaps you know of a different,
    official, definition?

No... ...but I know that rule books usually have such definitions...

Agreed. But if all he did was touch it, it's a stupid rule.

The only part it fits is "checking" and just looking at the car could be described that same way. Given that it was parked right next to his car,
should he have averted his gaze?

Max also touched his own rear wing, spent more time there than on
Hamilton's. But either looks like a violation.

A "get your hand slapped" level of violation, maybe, but it may not
    even be that.

Hamilton's qualifying time removed and Verstappen handed a €50,000 fine >>> for touching Hamilton's car in Parc Ferme.
    So as I said.

What it looks like is that Verstappen saw something about Hamilton's
wing that looked a little off, and so took a closer look.

Not his job, he can go to the stewards and ask if they can check
    something on the Merc.
Agreed. But if all he did was touch it, it's a stupid rule.

The only part it fits is "checking" and just looking at the car could be
described that same way. Given that it was parked right next to his car,
should he have averted his gaze?

    keep digging that hole

Sorry, but what is "checking" in a racing perspective?

Wait, why am I asking you about "a racing perspective"?

Good that they enforced the rule, idiotic that the rule exists in the first place (like about 2/3 of the rule book).

I'm not sure a closer look--even one that includes touching the wing--constitutes "checking" as meant in the rule, and it's certainly
    not "tuning or repair".

Lol, what utter bollocks. You transparent fuckwit.

Sorry, but if taking a brief look and (yes) just touching the rear wing
is "checking", then so is just looking on its own.

'Admiring' maybe. Or maybe he could see the 0.2mm gap and couldn't
