For whatever it's worth, a claim about urination.
How does a Formula 1 pilot urinate whilst racing?
Historically they used to just let loose in the car as there was no time
to stop. This led to teams continually losing good crew members who
stated they signed up to work on race cars, not clean up another man’s urine.
This lead to teams developing a catheter system for the driver in the
early 2000’s. The suit has a built in catheter that the driver installs
and then the suit has a hookup to a reservoir in the car.
When the reservoir gets full, there is a discharge system that sprays it
into the exhaust. The heat of the exhaust instantly vaporizes the urine. It’s had little to no impact on the race with only a few drivers
mentioning an unpleasant smell from the car in front of them.

It gives an unfair boost to those who piss more. Should be considered as extra fuel !

Can't hold it for 3 hours?
While perspiring out significant volumes/masses, requiring re-hydration?

Why not?
You're going to go into the race very well-hydrated (unless you're an
idiot). You have a drink tube to keep you well-hydrated...
...so your body is going to continue to produce urine.
The last thing you want to do is to get dehydrated while operating a
racing car.
Why WOULDN'T some drivers need to pee?
An onset of the shits during a race may be a little more problematical though. Especially if sudden !

For whatever it's worth, a claim about urination.I run marathons which take me over 3 hours of activity.

This article concurs with what I've heard from other sources - that it simply evaporates in the very hot cockpit. The first astronauts were known to have the same issue if left sitting on the launch pad for too long.
(I own a racesuit as a souvenir - they are very thick lined)

I need to be well hydrated at the start, and I take on liquids during the race.
I do not need to pee mid race. I have a 50yo bladder, the youngsters in the >cars have much better muscular control than I do.
I can't see any good reason why an F1 driver should need to pee in the car, >especially not these days when the drivers are not from the "ruling classes" >and used to "staff" cleaning up after them!
