That there are now three "prototype" classes is just confusing to watch. I suspect most fans really want to see corvette vs ferrari vs porsche vs ... in the GT classes.

YES.
And seems especially mixed up when the 3rd down
is still a 5.6 L V8...
In some past times the 'less powerful' were under 3L,
or under 2L, and a 3rd was often under 1.5 or 1L,
or even under 850 cc.
If we are trying to wean off internal combustion,
why the much bigger engines?
Why nothing from Chev., or Ford, or Tesla?
Why not a class with a 1 L / 1,000cc engine feeding
a battery/hybrid system?
Presumably, the 'Plaid', but what category?

How many laps would a Tesla's brakes last?
How many hours of re-charging in 24Hrs?
What would the IMSA BOP require?
