• Gives a whole new meaning to Duckworth Lewis

From Mr Gobrien@21:1/5 to All on Sun Dec 12 10:33:19 2021
As someone who made their mind up about Safety Cars way back in 1986 when Bobby Rahal came from way back to beat Kevin Cogan on a late lap restart in the Indy 500, I'm only surprised that they still cause controversy amongst motorsport fans - they are
    bound to.

Like cricket and Indycar before it, Formula 1 has now been forced to adapt to the modern TV audience - the infamous Duckworth Lewis method even resolving a World Cup final in cricket - and the game ended in the dark (there were no floodlights in the
ground) with the losing team being forced to just block the last over.
