    You expect them to allow a driver who hasn't even done a single lap of
    the track in the car the whole weekend, no matter qualified for the
    race, to jump in the car at the last minute?

    I think tecnically they do, as long as he's set some lap times during
    free practice.

    I guess that raises the question of whether the Giovinazzi would be
    permitted to step into a Ferrari just before the race if he'd only
    set lap times in an Alfa Romeo. Whilst people have their regs out...
