• soundboard.com no good?

From Jake T@21:1/5 to All on Mon Dec 27 10:54:17 2021
Some of my coyote sounds leave me grasping at straws trying to get the
tonality correct. I try and use "standards"- supposedly good recordings
made by others as a template for the Nova eq matcher, but many online
sounds are low quality MP3. Hoping for something better, I decided to
try out the subject mentioned website, but it doesn't seem to be fully
working (their FAQ links for example, lead nowhere). Anyone here know
about the site? On their Facebook page, they've had many complaints for failure to follow through on purchases, so I'm guessing they are no
    longer maintaining it.

Where could I get some decent quality wave files to use as templates?
MP3, for the most part, seems to dominate the web.

Thanks and hope everyone had a nice Christmas.

    Jake

The second two on this site are pretty clean. https://www.nps.gov/yell/learn/photosmultimedia/sounds-coyote.htm

The samples on this site are buggered by an audio
watermark but for eq purposes they may fit the bill https://predatortactics.us/coyote-call-sounds/

    Actually, look no further: https://www.videvo.net/royalty-free-sound-effects/coyote/

Thanks for the links! I particularly like the second one even though it
has the watermark, enough remains to be able to work with those to get
EQ samples. And even though not wave, they are 320K MP3 so no complaints.

I've opened a Paypal case against soundboard.com. Their site is
obviously defunct because there has been absolutely no response from
them. Just glad I didn't spend more than $5!

Just realized that they are not 'free', but rather 'royalty free'.
Hmmm... my audio interface can record its own output.

In that last link, the top result reminds me of backing tracks for the song 'Thriller'!

Sorry, just got back after being away. Was there a specific reason for
this request? I'm pretty much done with the coyotes. The "calibration"
sounds I tried helped somewhat, but it was better to just go with what
was there in the recorded file.

Just wanted to update that I got a credit card refund for this place.
No good, website and communication all ineffective. Why these types of
sites aren't removed from the web, I'll never know.
