I like this plug-in. One thing I've been struggling with is balancing
the coyote sounds, something I find hard to do just by ear alone. I
tried doing spectrum comparisons in Audition and then tweaking based on differences, but the plug-in does a better job. It's the demo version
so I can't save anything. One drawback was that it wouldn't export its settings for a mixdown from multitrack. However, I got around this by
jotting down the EQ settings it suggests, then opening and applying the manually inputted settings on a mixed down wave file. It does seem to
allow that to save. They have another plug-in I also have installed
called SlickEQ, but haven't tried that one yet. It is similar to Nova,
    but not as complex.

    1) Nova is not only an EQ, but also a kind of multiband dynamics processor
    2) Slick EQ is "just" an EQ for somewhat different purposes

There IS a completely free version named only "TDR Nova" which has a few features/functions less than the "GE (=Gentleman´s Edition)", but is
    still quite useful.
As I see, Nova GE has an additional "smart operations" feature, but you
might get close manually with the free version.

All TDR plug-ins have a free version and a paid GE/Mastering version
with more features and I suggest everybody to get at least their free
stuff - if you like, be nice and buy the GE and/or Mastering versions.
This is good stuff from a bunch of guys who won several "KVR Developer Challenges" with their plug-ins, so you can assume they know, what
    they´re doing.

Besides that, once in a while Izotope "Ozone Elements" (and more seldom "Neutron Elements") is available as a free give-away - both include a "smart"/"learn" feature, which analyses the incoming audio and provides
some suggested settings. Look out for give-aways of those in addition to
TDR Nova (GE), so you can try which works better in a given situation.

Good luck with your quest and enjoy "playing" around! ;-)

I am currently using the Gentleman's Edition which does have the smart features available in the free version. Unfortunately, it won't save or
export what it does in multitrack, but I can jot down the static
settings and apply to a wave file later, where it will save. It needs
two instances on separate tracks to be able to take advantage of
features such as the EQ match. Another thing I like is the deresonator,
which can be done on any wave file after doing a scan of it. It will
apply negative EQ to any tones it finds problematic. I've been using
that a few times as well.

I've had post experience with Izotope demos and really liked what their
plug ins could do. I never realized they had give-aways, so I will
definitely be keeping an eye out. Thanks for the heads up.
