I have a new Macbook air M1. I have my
system sounds going to my Presonus 1810 interface, but
they only seem to be configurable to go to the virtual outs 1/2.
I'd like to use the virtual outs 5/6 for
that purpose so I can push them out to their
own slider in my interface's software mixer
so I adjust them independently and use 1/2 and 3/4 for
recording stuff.
I can choose the 1810 for my system sounds,
but I don't see a way to choose any other
channels than 1/2. Under Windows, the system
dialog saw independent stereo devices and let
me choose from them for system sounds.
I will probably just have to use 1/2 for system
sounds and the other virtual outs for recording,
but I really wondered whether this was a glaring
limitation of Mac, or whether I was missing something.
