    Way to go Joe.

I routinely see migrants wandering our streets. I see 'em wandering down the streets occasionally heading up the road to one of my properties. There's nothing up there but homes. There is only one road in so they're just aimlessly wandering lost and
eventually will find themselves after a 4 mile loop right back where they started. They look sad, lost and confused.
What does the administration expect them to do? This is just crazy.

Republicans should support immigration reform if they want to solve this problem. Also, Biden isn't your HOA president. Also, too, there isn't an
    open border.

BS....What we have right now is dems version of immigration reform.

Also, Biden isn't your HOA president.

    We don't have an HOA.

    LoL.

No, we have policy based on executive power. Real reform requires
Congress, including the Republicans, to act.

And credit to Biden for reduced border encounters.

    https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2023/03/open-borders-myth-fueling-migration-crisis

"While right-wing media’s “open borders” messaging has proven salient
for stateside viewers, there’s also reason to believe that it’s
impacting perceptions of the border abroad. “I met with migrants in
Costa Rica that were turned back, and their sense was that they will be
able to enter freely,” Representative Adriano Espaillat, a New York
Democrat, told me, arguing that the “confusion” stems squarely from right-wing disinformation. “The perception from them was that the border
is open and they could just walk through.” John Modlin, a chief Border
Patrol agent, shared a similar insight last month. Testifying before the
House Oversight Committee, he relayed how detained migrants often said
they were led to believe the border “was open.”"

Sorry, we've been duped before under Reagan. Not gonna happen again.
Start enforcing existing laws and we'll see what might need reform in another couple of decades after that.

Yeah, that being the law requiring current officials to enforce current law.

On gun control, sheriffs regularly argue that they will not or should not have to
enforce laws. Constitutional sheriffs' opposition extends to a broad set of policies and proposals, ranging from the assault weapons registration in Illinois to national discussions of gun control to red flag laws in Colorado.

When Sheriff John Cooke of Weld County explains in speeches why he is not enforcing the state’s new gun laws, he holds up two 30-round magazines.
One, he says, he had before July 1, when the law banning the possession,
sale or transfer of the large-capacity magazines went into effect. The other, he “maybe” obtained afterward.

When Sheriffs Refuse to Follow the Law

... county sheriffs in some states have publicly announced that they will not enforce newly enacted gun-control laws. Their reason? They say that they believe these laws violate the Second Amendment of the U.S Constitution.

To be clear, the laws they oppose are precisely the types of laws that courts repeatedly have upheld against constitutional challenges, finding that they
do not violate the Second Amendment. But the problem with these sheriffs’ actions is not just that they are wrong about whether these laws are constitutional.
The real problem is that these sheriffs are overstepping their role in the constitutional
system and, in the process, undermining the rule of law.
