... I'd like to mention a dark horse TV show that I was surprised to enjoy. It's called Joe Pickett. Set as a Western with horses, pickups, bows, and
long guns, and elk poaching (rather than cattle rustling), it's a mixture of well-wrought crime stories and tedious domestic conflict.

On Spectrum? I'd have never found it, but it looks good. Oh, Canada:
Three Pines, Da Vinci's Inquest, Wynonna Earp.

Three Pines was great - Albert M can do no wrong.
Did you really like W. Earp? Hard to believe. Da Vinci is too old to DL.

I actually enjoyed it, in part because of the commitment to the
cheapness. Yes, a lot of it was objectively terrible.

I have a fascination with Chris Haddock's dialogue and transactional
character interactions. It seems somehow more and less realistic
simultaneously than other cop shows. I prefer it to Dick Wolf's ouvre.

I think you can still find Romeo Section, which is more of the same but
without the charm of the Da Vinci cast leads. Yes, more unnatural
dialogue but with less charming players!

It's fun to see the actors show up on American tv produced in Canada.

Canadian I like without apology: 12 Monkeys.

Not me. It was a watery, slothful derivative of the film.
Coroner is pretty good at times. Also the cop-com Pretty Hard Cases.

I recommend The Crowded Room wholeheartedly. (Apple, I think.)
Hijack (Idris Elba) starts off slow but the intrigue builds well.
    Secret Invasion I'm finding soporific.
Lincoln Lawyer 2 is as good as the original.

Can't wait for the second half of the story!

Forgot to mention how much I liked Michael Dorman in Patriot.

Great show, that. Dorman is a kiwi - who knew.
Don't forget The Night Agent. Ripping good story.

What do you make of Super Shitty's rejoicing at Hollywood's hibernation?
I doubt they have enough emotional energy to experience schadenfreude.

Hollywood has long been a right-wing target, so the cruelty party is
    sure to delight.

It's almost as if he doesn't care for entertainment.

Reagan sure played the long game:
