You'd still complain if they were there yesterday. Are you worried
they'll miss the chance to strike Russians forces retreating to defend
    Moscow?

    https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/cluster-munitions-would-be-useful-ukraine-pentagon-says-2023-06-22/

Cluster Munitions Would Be Useful for Ukraine, Pentagon Says

"Our military analysts have confirmed that DPICMs would be useful
especially against dug in Russian positions on the battlefield," Laura
Cooper, a deputy assistant secretary of defense focusing on Russia and
Ukraine, told lawmakers during a Congressional hearing.

"The reason why you have not seen a move forward in providing this
capability relates both to the existing congressional restrictions on
the provision of DPICMs and concerns about allied unity," Cooper added.

    End quote.

Doesn't look like a Joe problem, more a Kevin problem, as well as the
usual concern about keeping the anti-Russian alliance intact.

It could also be that if they aren't in production, the US military
might want to keep their stocks at a certain level.

I don't think "timeout" is a good description of the deal. One guess:
Wagner halt in exchange for removing Prigozhin's military rivals. That
and moving the Russian capitol to Minsk.

Not just Wagner but the Chechen group as well along with a number of smaller groups. July was the deadline to hand over command.
Prigozhin bailing to Belarus leaves his mercs behind and with no where to run. I can't imagine they're any too happy about being cannon fodder for the Russian army.

OOh! you made a funny. I'm inpressed,
And I didn't even know Prigozhin would end up there.

There's a lot of background I didn't know, such as the class differences
between Prigozhin and Putin who grew up in the same city. I also didn't
know the Minister of Defense was doing a hostile takeover of Wagner by >>>>>>>> conscripting the troops.

OOh! you made a funny and didn't even realize it
It's only funny if you don't know Wagner employs mercenaries.

And what does that have to do with Minsk?
I brought up Minsk because Lukashenko brokered the deal. I didn't know >>>> he'd be hosting Prigozhin. As as joke, it's a mild absurdity, but way
funnier than whatever dead horse you're beating here.

    That's the dead horse.
The joke you recognized and I alluded to before you claimed I "didn't
    realize it"? That's the beating.

    no
you never alluded to your Minsk comment.

"And I didn't even know Prigozhin would end up there," 'there' being
Minsk, where Prigozhin is said to be exiled in an agreement brokered by Lukashenko.

Me: That and moving the Russian capitol to Minsk.

You: OOh! you made a funny. I'm inpressed,

Me: And I didn't even know Prigozhin would end up there.

You: you made a funny and didn't even realize it

I explained: I brought up Minsk because Lukashenko brokered the deal.

Maybe you literally don't know Lukashenko is the political leader of
Belarus, whose largest city and capitol is Minsk, and thus didn't
    understand the reference.

At least Scott's argument by IKYABWAI responds to the topic discussed.

Sack-Shmoo made a vow never to admit error unless Dumpster does it first. However, I suggest that when Dumpy gets convicted of various felonies,
the Sack-Thing should take that as a sign that pretending omniscience is utterly out of fascishion.
