• Troubling signs in Dem run cities

From ScottW@21:1/5 to All on Thu Apr 13 16:30:51 2023
Walmart is closing half it's stores in Chicago.

According to Walmart’s official statement, their eight locations “lose tens of millions of dollars a year.” The company has apparently never made a profit at its Chicago locations. “The remaining four Chicago stores continue to face the same
business difficulties,” the statement reads, “but we think this decision gives us the best chance to help keep them open and serving the community.”

And if this doesn't change the business situation, the remainder will close too.
Failed Mayor Lori calls it abandoning.
“Unceremoniously abandoning these neighborhoods will create barriers to basic needs for thousands of residents.”
WTF does she think businesses exist for? It's on you for failing to maintain an environment where a business can profitably operate.

Another one...Whole Foods pulled the plug on it's "Flagship" store on San Fran Market street after only one year of operation.
The store was closed, as the company noted in its announcement, in order “to ensure the safety of our Team Members.” The Market Street location was across from the city’s United Nations Plaza, which the city has allowed to morph into a skeevy
homeless camp and open-air fentanyl bazaar.

Meanwhile SD doesn't want to become a toilet like these other shitholes. https://www.cbs8.com/article/news/local/banning-homeless-encampments/509-c3bb2b55-6ac5-4be2-9a77-f0f4b2d01833

Listen up, Lori Lightead, if you want the stores to stay in Chicago, then create an environment
    in which they can thrive.

Since she lost the election, she won't be able to do that. Also:

If you want Lightfoot to turn Chicago into a rural area, how does she go
about doing that by May 15, her last day in office?

Have you noticed that whacking Shmoos on the nose with facts
doesn't change their behavior? I suggest giving this one something
else to whine about pointlessly. E.g., Democratic mayors of Chicago
have never been MAGA enough to stand up to Walmart. Therefore,
it's logical for the Supreme Court to repeal the 10th Amendment,
which would allow them to declare Chicago a no-enterprise zone.
That would take care of Walmart once and for all.

Here's something to get them excited:

How quickly you toss Lori the loser overboard. Typical of dems.

    Chicago is off those charts.

24/7 karaoke ought to do the trick.

    Chicago is off those charts.

It's not a city? Walmart isn't struggling there? And it's definitely on
    the chart:

    https://www.bisnow.com/national/news/retail/walmart-closes-4-more-urban-locations-in-retreat-from-city-centers-118490#:~:

Walmart is closing four of its eight Chicago stores, the company
announced Tuesday, the latest in a wave of urban-area closures: It plans
to close 19 U.S. locations across 11 states, from Hawaii to Wisconsin.

If you want Lightfoot to turn Chicago into a rural area, how does she go
about doing that by May 15, her last day in office?

24/7 karaoke ought to do the trick.

    Requires too much participation.
