    and it's glorious.

"All laid off employees were given 30 days, or as much time as needed, to remain on staff and transition their work. But impacted staff, while technically still employees, are not allowed to enter the NPR offices. So instead, the company hosted its all-
hands meetings over Zoom. During the meetings, some executives called in from home to address the group, often in scripted remarks or in vague terms, according to people who attended."

This is why most corporations going through a major work force reduction do it as quickly as possible.
Leaving terminated people to work with the survivors just makes a tough work environment worse. Some of the terminated will try to guilt trip the survivors and create a rebellion against management in a "burn it to the ground" mentality as they have no
future there. Which is exactly why most companies notify and terminate immediately in a large layoff situation. 30 days on staff is nuts. Better to give 'em 30 days of pay to do nothing than 30 days to incite a riot.
And these wokesters are all in on cancel culture and DEI crazy. So they'll find something they can use in their cause. They're already spinning up the racist accusations. Oh well....couldn't happen to a more deserving organization.
