After years of fighting to get Trumps tax returns because they claimed they need to see them to review how the IRS handles audits of a president.....

The House Ways and Means Committee on Tuesday voted to release six years of former President Trump’s tax returns.

and that was really why they wanted 'em. They lied to the court.

But hey...I have a bridge to sell you too...

Chairman Richard E. Neal (D-Mass.) defended the move, insisting that “This is not about being punitive. This is not about being malicious.”

    Democrats say"

Typically gutless to add "Democrats say" to a statement of fact.

"The Committee expected that these mandatory audits were being conducted promptly and in accordance with IRS policies," Committee Chairman Rep.
Richard Neal, D-Mass., said in a statement. "However, our review found
that under the prior administration, the program was dormant. We know
now, the first mandatory audit was opened two years into his presidency.
On the same day this Committee requested his returns."

Nothing. Congress can go after the IRS just like they
should be on the ass of the FBI....but they're do busy politiking.

It turns out he wasn't being audited as required by law. This leads to a
public interest in his previous returns which had not been released as
had been the custom for previous Presidents.

    Nothing.

It shows the legislative motivation. The committee has oversight over
    the IRS.

Congress can go after the IRS just like they should be on the ass of

The IRS and FBI were both run by Republican appointees.

Customs are not law and releasing the returns is blatant violation of
    Trump's rights.

and that makes them saints? Your devotion to party above all else
and expectation that everyone else should share your immorality
    is nauseating.

Auditing sitting Presidents, OTOH, is law, hence "mandatory" in Neal's statement.

To repeat the point, the committee had oversight over the IRS and needed
to know if existing laws were being followed. They were not.

It makes them not Democrats. It's also hilarious that the notoriously conservative FBI is now attacked as supporting the left. The ghost of
    Hoover asks, wtf?

Your devotion to party above all else...

Blah, blah, blah. Not that I need to reassure you, but my "partisanship"
is a lot closer to Howie Klein than to Chuck Schumer.
