RUMOR: Star Wars: The High Republic Animated Series In The Works

According to Cinelinx.com, the highly anticipated publishing
initiative that is Star Wars: The High Republic may in fact be a
multimedia project which will include an animated series based
on the same timeline. Other than the books and comics that have
already been announced, we did get an announcement for a new VR
adventure set within The High Republic era as part of the Star
Wars: Tales From The Galaxy's Edge game called Temple of
Darkness. This wouldn't be the first time Lucasfilm Ltd. has done
something on this scale (Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire
anyone?), so if these rumors are true, we'll happily accept them.
With the huge success of Star Wars: Clone Wars, Star Wars:
The Clone Wars & Star Wars Rebels, Lucasfilm has a good grasp on
what works when it comes to animation and what better way to
boost interest in a new part of the timeline than another
series!
