    Well, not really.

Just watched that throwback episode with Cole/Victoria/Ryan storyline. Brings me back. What a great time to be a viewer back then! I watch from time to time to catch up when new shows are airing. I was so happy with the rightful Phyllis came back, but
man, they're not writing well for that character. Blah.

    Waiting patiently... until then...

I agree with everything you just said. Especially about Michelle
Stafford playing Phyllis; she was always one of my favorite characters
because, like Jill, she was complex; multi-faceted. But ever since
they brought Michelle back to the role the writing for her character
    has been horrid. Simply awful.

By the way, seeing all the old episodes lately has reminded me of why
Y&R was #1 for so many years and how so many of us fans got hooked on
the show. The storylines, dialogue and characters were all wonderful.
Even subtle production things like background music, lighting and
wardrobes always fit the mood of each scene. And the actors were all
gorgeous, both the women and men. The show was a force of nature.

Sadly, I guess the pressure of corporate budgets has taken the bloom
off the rose and, like B&B, Y&R is now a shadow of what it used to be.
