How's that possible? The old switcheroo at the lab by a doctor that works at the hospital. It would also explain (finally) his kidnapping of Mariah. If he couldn't have Abby, he could have tried to have a child with Abby, unbeknownst to her, and then
disappear with the baby.

Y&R always loved the switched-at-the-lab stories. As a matter of fact, Abby has been the victim of such a story. Saint Ashley stole Victor's sperm and then pawned her off as Brad's child. All this is only possible due to the lack of security at the lab.
