So when does Finn get to find out that his mother-in-law shot a man in the back and left him to die? And the reason why. All this talk about Sheila and Deacon, why should Taylor get a pass? Back when Hope said she didn’t want Beth anywhere near
Taylor, Steffy said she was being unreasonable and silly.
Taylor Hayes used to be my favorite B&B character. Then several years
ago, the soap's writing turned horribly bad, and among other things
(like killing off Phoebe and Darla) they ruined Taylor by completely
changing the character's character, if that makes sense. Taylor had
always been positive and sympathetic, a "good" person. Then writers
really screwed up the show, and the way they completely changed Taylor
was one of their most egregious mistakes. She had been sweet and
self-assured and overnight was suddenly weak, neurotic and scheming.
And if that wasn't enough, the actress, Hunter Tylo, who had been
absolutely beautiful (she was even named among People Magazines 50
most beautiful women in the world). Then she had awful cosmetic
surgery that over-botoxed her lips and other features, and botched a
boob job so it looked like she was carrying a tray in front of her.
I'm not being ugly, it's just the truth. Between Taylor's cringeworthy
new behavior and Tylo's distracting huge new lips and chest, the
character became unwatchable. This was around the time when I stopped
watching B&B every day, and started just skimming through the Friday
shows to see what was going on.
And now... I'm hopeful that there have been improvements and that they
are bringing back the old Taylor. Which I somehow doubt, though. I
must say, the actress replacing Hunter Tylo is remarkably well-cast;
she looks a lot like her.
