SHOLAY - Was it also released in CinemaScope format

sholay was originally shot in 35mm flat print. I have seen this flat print in a theatre. 70 mm was blown up from this 35mm print. edges from all four sides have been cut to fit it in 70 mm. cinemascope print again was printed from the 35 mm negative. but
at a much later date, i believe. I have seen both 35mm version as well as the 70 mm version. I saw the cinemascope version much much later.
