• X Facto UK Sharon Osbourne's Judges' House round

From Zob@21:1/5 to All on Sun Oct 2 21:54:29 2016
Is Sharon on drugs? Is she intentionally sabotaging the Overs
    category this year?
How could she possibly put Honey G through over the two men, who were
both awesome singers while Honey G is obviously another joke act along
    the lines of Wagner.

Unbelievable. No wonder XFactor is falling in the ratings in the UK.

Some might say that the controversy is intended to help. Though for me
Honey G is a step too far.

Talking of ratings, in general, people don't all sit down at 8pm or
whatever and watch a show these days on a proper tv. It must be
complicated working out just how many people watch anything. I watched Saturday's show half an hour late, and last might's I haven't yet seen
as I was visiting a new grandchild.

I record just about everything I want to see on Sky+ series link and
might watch them weeks later on order to binge watch a series. But I do
watch it. I demand to be included in the ratings. ;-)

Now that the judge's houses are behind us and the top 12 has been
chosen, do you have a favorite Kat? (Pardon my American spelling of "favourite," lol)
In the past I've usually had a clear favorite early on in the
competition but this year, no. There are several who are very good
but nobody really outstanding IMO. I think several potentially great
voices were inexplicably cut at the judges houses. But I guess time
    will tell.

I don't need the specific situation to know that she probably is.

One look at the picture of the six Overs she had to choose from indicates she (and the show) has no interest in another older winner.

Not really. There are some good acts - and some weird choices. I shall
have to watch them live to get a better idea.

And are we back to Plant City again??

One of the contestants, apparently, has represented Finland twice in Eurovision, placing second both times, according to the Wikipedia page on her.

Another had at least one previous hit on the UK iTunes charts.

    ugh

That bemused me as Finland isn't known for coming second recently in the Eurovision Song Contest. So I assumed you meant Saara - it was The
Voice, in Finland, she came second I think, then Eurovision she tried
out for and came second in the ( Finnish) qualifiers and the Finnish
entry that year actually came 21st.

    ugh

    But not unusual. :-/
