This is my favorite hour of TV. The acting is first class, the writing crisp, the sets impeccable, and the direction/editing hold my attention for the entire episode without my once looking at the clock and wondering when
    it will end.

The plot twists which surprise me far outnumber the ones which I guess. Was it really supposed to be a secret that the museum curator was this season's main monster? Dracula's origin story, on the other hand, was fresh and new. It was woven into this season's story line seamlessly, as was the identity
of the orderly who cared for Vanessa while she was institutionalized.

I thought the orderly was Frankenstein's assistant, the other one he
    brought back to life?

There's enough blood and gore with the werewolf scenes and with Dorian
Gray's Lily to satisfy those who prefer their horror more adult than kiddie. I can only hope that this season ends with a real ending and not a lame cliffhanger as has become the norm for almost all American TV shows.
