If you've never performed before an audience, you can only imagine what an audience gives to you, the support and energy that elevates you and what you do. If you have never experienced it, you cannot know how it feels..
Thinking in particular of the ice skaters who are performing before fewer than a thousand spectators in a stadium with a capacity of dozens of thousands has to have diminished their peformances yet they seem to get the energy they need from some other
sources, probably something deep within them, perhaps the burning desire to do better than they've ever done with the possibility of doing better than their competitors to achieve a win.
But I don't know how they do it at the 2022 Olympics in Beijing.
