Yoo-hoo! I finally drank the hard kool-aid, bought a Dream Magic Key
(like a day before they sold out) and subscribed to annual Disney+ for Imagingineering episodes and Mandelorian to immerse myself into what the
fuss was about. Let It Be was a pleasant surprise worthy of rewatching.
Marvel and Jeff Goldblum aren't a draw for me, but I plan to watch each
and every Simpsons episode by year's end.

    Magic Key and me.
I have not yet activated the park admission or comp. parking - still
waiting on more favorable winds from the pandemic blow-out. I'm
double-vaced and boosted, had Corona before anyone knew what it was
(American Red Cross loves me - negative virus, positive for antibodies
and O+ - to donate often as possible) take every precaution not because
I fear infection but because I love you and so employ every measure to
protect you as I refuse to participate in vectoring the spread of
illness and death. I'll wait for full opening and reservation
requirement rescinded to return to my quest of 365 consecutive days as
my mall-walking health program. If the Magic-Key expires before that
happens I'll roll the unused value into the next year pass. No longer is plastic card issued, you have got to make arrangements to visit online
and present your mobile device scan to enter, excluding by requirements
those who can't afford one or refuse to be monitored by our overlords.

But that's not why I write today.

A purdy-purple 5x10x1" cardboard box unexpectedly arrived at my doorstep
"It's time to unlock the stories, the magic and the fun of the
Disneyland Resort" and "Magic Key" on its face sent from Disney
Destinations - the same people who diligently tracked me down to refund pro-rata my annual pass unused value. (I don't wanna check! I wanna park
at the Park!) The same people who would not accept that check to
purchase a Dream Magic Key! Back to the alluring box. OH, what could be
inside as I roll, rattle and shake it. something clicky, something like
soft cloth, a disk sliding on folded paper? I had more excitement posing
the guesses than revealing the surprises inside! I recall there being a
grip of premiums but have forgotten . The suspense is more fun than the
prize at the bottom of a cereal box, hyped all over the back.

    The unboxing

A single strip of wide clear tape seal is broken with a swipe, the
front flapped up and lid lifted - surprise! white tissue paper! fold
that forward and a tissue to fold back - A big sky badge with plenty of
room to write something a little Disneyland resort logo next to Sleeping Beauty's Castle and a large red Magic Key logo along the top. A
celo-wrapped display card "Disneyland" at the top of a starfield
"Established 2021" at the bottom and attached is a cloisonne black on
gold enamel pin Mickey Ears tricirle above a skeleton key warded with a
silver star and centered Magic Key Logo, a royal blue breakaway lanyard
bearing "Charter member" Magic Key and Disneyland resort Logos with
cheap swivel clip lacking any card sleve, a Disney Movie Insiders
invitation to redeem 2000 reward points expires 3/31/2022, a quarter
folded map of Disneyland in retro-art poster style and red trees two of
which resemble Mickey, Tomorrowland in tri-circle and earcap in
Fantasyland, and last but not least a welcome folder bearing a photo of
child donning purple Minnie Ears headband an under the cover a 5x3"
Magic Key logo 'fridge magnet and the card text duplicates online usage information (my supplied shortcode links the latest http://go.wiza.fun/ blockout and http://in.wiza.fun/ official entertainment schedule all
repeating the fine print disclaimers seen below as well.
