Ochibi-San is a heart-warming one-page manga about a boy and his two poodle friends. It was mentioned once that his father works as a tile setter in another town and there's no mention of his mother so he lives alone. I am
not sure how old he is but he doesn't attend school.

His best pal is a black poodle, Nazeni, which means inquisitive because he
is always reading and carrying a book with him. Pretty soon a brown poodle, Pankui, joins the gang. Pankui means "bread eater" and he loves all kinds
of breads and rolls. There are other frequent character such as Ojii, the
old man, and Jack the stray cat.

The poodles aren't someone's pets and they live by themselves in their own houses. They also walk on their hind legs and can talk.

The story tends to revolves around the seasons and how Ochibi-San and his friends amuse themselves.

It's serialized weekly so each story is self-contained in one page. That'd make 52 pages a years but they got someone to translate the stories into English so it's 104 pages, enough to publish a volume each year.

SFPL has the first four volumes if anyone wants to check it out.
