From John Geoffrey@21:1/5 to All on Tue Apr 17 00:41:12 2018
Hey, what would you say are your favourite new series you came across lately and why? And with new I mean stuff that you came across lately, even if it is older stuff.

I always am looking for new stuff to read.

So, what are you reading lately?

Aside from Genshiken which I reread and re-watch as often as I can find the time, Kitoro, Showa History of Japan (4 volumes) and nearly
anything else by Shigero Mizuki, Whispered Words by Takashi Ikeda, Ooku
by Fumi Yoshinaga, Genkaku Picasso by Usamaru Furuya, Hyouge mono(Tea
for life, Tea for the Universe) by Yoshihiro Yamada, and if you want to
cruise thru the older posts on this list you will find a lot more.
Maison Ikkoku by Rumiko Takahashi, Kimagure Orange Road by Matasumoto
    Izumi.
Oguie Maniax, Astronerd-Boy, Heart of Furious Fancies blogs
for more about Japanese visual culture.

    my favorites lately have been

Chio-chan no Tsuugakuro (about a girl's bizarre way to school every morning) Hinamatsuri (about a rather tame Yakuza and a time-travelling assassin housing together)
Wave, Look at me (about a curry waitress in Hokkaido who gets a radio show)
