That situation looks very tricky.

Well, he seems to be keeping his balance all right.
(How did she come to have *three* Roombas in the house? My one
died ten years ago, darnit.)

I was really hoping that someone would comment on my title which is a
play on "The Dragon and the George". Oh well. I guess that there are
not many Gordon R. Dickson fans here.

Perhaps having one leg on the ground helps.

Had the Roomba mattered enough to you, it would have been replaced.
That's one way to tell what really matters: if it is lost or damaged
and you don't replace it, well, it clearly didn't matter very much.

Not considering how broke we were. And still are, in the context
of trying to save up enough money to move out of Vallejo this
summer. We tried to do that last summer, only to discover that
every part of the Bay Area that isn't Vallejo is more expensive
than Vallejo.

Not as much as eating, paying the rent, and saving up to get out
of Vallejo, city of too many hills.

I'm a gadget freak from way back and lazy besides. I've never wanted
a Roomba. Too much effort keeping a path clear for it.

Plus, the doggie poo and cat vomit stories are hilarious until it
happens to you.
