• For the Official RACS Comics Page: Must-reads

From David Accola@21:1/5 to All on Thu Oct 28 20:06:11 2021
I thought it'd be instructive to compile each "must-rating" rating given in the various "For the Official RACS Comics Page" threads of days of yore into one spot. These come from the great bite-sized reviews Joseph Nebus posted from 2011-2017. Here's
    what we've got:

    Must-reads:
9 Chickweed Lane by Brooke McEldowne
    Agnes by Tony Cochran
Back to B.C. by Johnny Hart
    Bloom County by Berkeley Breathed
Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson
    Candorville by Darrin Bell
Cow and Boy by Mark Leiknes
Cul de Sac by Richard Thompson
Dog Eat Doug by Brian Anderson
    Doonesbury by Garry Trudeau.
    Endtown by Aaron Neathery
Haiku Ewe by Big Al The Gal
    Herman by Jim Unger
    Incidental Comics by Grant Snider
    Lay Lines by Carol Lay
    Li'l Abner by Al Capp
    Lio by Mark Tatulli
Little Nemo In Slumberland by Winsor McCay
Lost Side of Suburbia by Kory Merritt
    MythTickle by Justin Thompson
    Nancy Classics by Ernie Bushmiller
    Peanuts Begins by Charles Schulz
    Pooch Cafe by Paul Gilligan
    Pot-Shots by Ashleigh Brilliant
    Questionable Quotebook by Sam Hepburn
Richard's Poor Almanac by Richard Thompson
    Rip Haywire by Dan Thompson
Rudy Park by Darrin Bell and Theron Heir
Skin Horse by Shaenon K. Garrity and Jeffrey C. Wells
    Skippy by Percy Crosby
    Super-Fun-Pak Comix by Ruben Bolling
    Thatababy by Paul Trap
The Knight Life by Keith Knight
    Tiny Sepuku by Ken Cursoe
Tom the Dancing Bug by Ruben Bolling
    Understanding Chaos by Gustavo Rodriguez
    Unstrange Phenomena by Ed Allison

Thanks to Joseph Nebus for wading through it all and forgive me if I missed one. In doing this I realized I never did check out Understanding Chaos, so that's back on my to-do list.

It's approaching 5 years since some of these last ratings were given. Anything to add since then?

On my daily can't miss list:
Wallace the Brave by Will Henry
Arlo and Janis by Jimmy Johnson
    Sally Forth by Ces Marciullano

Unfortunately, 9 Chickweed Lane has become a total disaster.

    Ha. Make that "must-read" rating.

Ink Pen is the main one I don't see up there already that I'd consider must-read, though I guess it's mostly reruns nowadays. Things like Poorly Drawn Lines and False Knees too, but both of those feel more like webcomics that just happen to also run on
    GoComics.
