    That's great. He's worked hard to keep Curtis fresh and hasn't just turned
    on the autopilot. He's also worked hard to keep Curtis balanced without
    sinking into either denial or cheap cynicism, but still remaining a strip
    from a kid's perspective. It's not flashy or glib, but it's really good.
