    Are you sure ? Didn't we bounce a few rockets off it in the early 1960s ?

    The Ranger series - but those might be passed off as meteor impacts.

    There are Surveyors, Lunar Lander first stages, at least one moon buggy
    (or is it two?), several flags, one golf ball, plus Soviet and Chinese
    lunar landers. That's a lot of clean up.
