And for the second Sunday in a row, it is "Jeff and Bil Keane" signed instead of "Bil and Jeff Keane" signed.

Also, one of the quotes in the strip: "Is this an ad for something, Daddy?" was first used in a 1978 FC strip - when in 1978?

As for August 14, 1982, the Cincinnati Post (25 cents) announced that Archbishop Joseph Bernadin was taking a leave of absence from the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. Bernadin would later become Cardinal in Chicago. In the Habitat section, it was
suggested that investors should try solar energy. The Reds shutout the Houston Astros at RIverfront Stadium, 3-0. The Mini Page was devoted to clothing (visit North Carolina). In the Post comics, Charlie Brown was still throwing a golf ball at the front
steps, and Sally (unseen) threw it back.

As for August 16, 1982, the Cincinnati Post (25 cents) told us that the Fed decided to cut the prime rate to...14 percent. The ATP men's tennis championship (now the Western and Southern Open) was starting out in Mason, Ohio, and the Post had a special
section (the lead story was about Jimmy Connors, whose appearance in the tournament was in doubt). The TV section had a story called "Make Way for Music Television." (I miss those days.) In the Post comics, Charlie Brown was still using golf balls to
bounce off the steps. Chuck told Marcie, "What do you expect me to do?!" Marcie said, "Don't scream, Charles. It's embarrassing..."

As for August 18, 1982, the Cincinnati Post (25 cents) announced that Jerry Springer was going to be Channel 5's newsman. Post critic Jerry Stein reviewed the Beach Boys concert at Timberwolf, and said that they were Stone Age men; six years later,
they had a number one song with Kokomo. The ATP Championships continued, with John McEnroe, Jimmy Connors and Ivan Lendl all advancing. TV was full of reruns, but Channel 19 had the Blue Jean Network with Blondie. In the Post comics, Marcie told Charlie
Brown that he was the nicest guy she knew. She then kissed Chuck, whose cap then was elevated. Snoopy then marveled, "How does he do that?"

The Cincinnati Post (25 cents on August 19, 1982) showed on Page 1 a photo of John McEnroe throwing a temper tantrum during his match at the ATP Championships. He advanced to the next round. The Cincinnati Reds beat the New York Mets in 14 innings when
Mario Soto - a pitcher - scored the winning run. Opening in theaters the next day: The Last American Virgin and Summer Lovers. In the Post comics, Marcie told Peppermint Patty about her kissing Charlie Brown.

The Cincinnati Post (25 cents) on August 23, 1982 told us about Daniel Pilarcyk becoming the new leader of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. Ivan Lendl won the ATP Championship tennis tournament. Get a new 1982 Datsun as low as $5,114 at the Open House
of Savings going on now! At the movies, the Post called The Beastmaster "annoying" and The Last American Virgin "pathetic." In the Post comics, Charlie Brown was still throwing a golf ball at the stairs when Linus told him that the vacant lot had been

As for AUgust 26, 1982, the Cincinnati Post (25 cents) told us that Exxon was closing all of their stores in Cincinnati and throughout Cincinnati. At Radio Shack, you can buy a business printer for...$1,360! Opening the next day in theaters were the

The Cincinnati Post (25 cents) reported that the mortgage rates were going down. The 1980s economic boom had started by this point. Win a 1982 Dodge Charger from the Gap! The Post devoted much of the main sports page to Rickey Henderson breaking Lou
Brock's single stolen base record. while the Cincinnati Reds' Mario Soto shut down the Philadelphia Phillies' bats in a 8-1 win at the Vet. A page was given to soccer in Cincy (it wasn't until 2019 that Major League Soccer came to town). The Mini Page
was devoted to back to school (remember when back to school was after Labor Day?) In the Post comics, Charlie Brown fell off the mound when Marcie said no one cared about the baseball game he was playing.

Due to Hurricane Ida and the reported complete power failure in the New Orleans area, the Times-Picayune has put up tomorrow's edition online. Yes, Lazy Jeffy did it again - recycle a strip, this time from September 30, 1999, the day before the
    Indianapolis News ended.

    The original caption:
    Bill:
"It's better than audio books, TV or the Internet. It's called reading."

The Cincinnati Post (50 cents) told us that German author Guenter Grass had won the Nobel Prize in literature. Jimmy Carter was going to turn 75 tomorrow. He was younger than Biden is today. The Reds had an important three game series at Milwaukee
which would determine the team's fate. (As it turned out, the Reds and New York Mets had to play one game to determine the NL Wild Card. Al Leiter threw a two-hitter and blanked the Reds, and the Mets advanced.) In the Post comics, the Pointy Haired
Boss told Dilbert he liked his Internet plans - but Dilbert said that five companies had gone IPO with the same idea. The PHB said he would like to buy one of these companies, but Dilbert said that the "one" was one stock share (at the time the IPOs of
    tech stocks were big news).

The Cincinnati Post (50 cents) told us that Non Sequitur was going to be away from the comics page for a month and replaced by something called 12:01. Martha Stewart was turning 58 tomorrow. The Cincinnati Reds defeated the San Francisco Giants 9-1 at
something called Cinergy Field. Elsewhere in the Post comics, the Pointy Haired Boss told Dilbert and Wally that he took three days just tp put his appointments in the PDA. His next entry: Tuesday at two o'clock.

Riverfront Stadium. He did it again. Again. Again - hitting four homers in a 15-2 rout. In the Post comics, Calvin was at school. "At this room, time enters a no passing zone," he said.

Baseball announced that starting in 1994, the postseason would feature three division champions and a wildcard. (That would debut in 1995 due to the strike.) In the Post comics, Calvin was about to leave school for the day, but there was a giant Miss

The Cincinnati Post and Times-Star (10 cents) from eight days before I was born mentioned on page one that Sears wanted to build a new store in Kenwood, but the store was going to be reduced from its original plan. Who would have ever thought that
Sears would be all but extinct today? At the Times Theatre (when there were still downtown theaters), the last four days of How To Murder Your Wife, which was about a comic strip artist. Pepsi-Cola had a contest where you can win prizes if you can

Today's FC was recycled from September 24, 1993, when it was in...you know.

Thel's hair was tweaked. The caption back in the Slick administration was"

    Billy:
"We got out early because of sickness. Our school computer has a virus."

The Cincinnati Post (35 cents) told us the Cincinnati Reds beat the LA Dodgers 11-2. That ended a 12-game losing streak, the longest since World War II. The Bengals were looking at 0-4 as they were getting ready to play Seattle (Bengals payroll in
1993: $24.8 million). The US was tied with Europe in the first day of the Ryder Cup. At the movie theaters: Macaulay Culkin in the R-rated Good Son and Martin Scorsese's The Age of Innocence. The #1 song in America according to Billboard: Dreamlover
by Mariah Carey. In the Post comics, Calvin told Hobbes he wanted a watch with the month.

And I just discovered that Today's FC is actually a gag that's been recycled twice (the first twice-recycled gag since the 1982/2004 Grand Canyon vacation storyline last month).

The gag was first recycled on September 18, 2019 with Billy's caption altered to say "Our school computer GOT a virus"

    https://www.newspapers.com/clip/85455525/tampa-bay-times/

Again, I really hate that the Tampa Bay Times decided to drop Dennis The Menace and Marmaduke but chose to keep Family Circus where lazy Jeffy hasn't come up with a new idea in what seems like forever (and seriously, using a school virus gag when we're
still trying to recover from the coronavirus?!?!?).

The Cincinnati Post (50 cents) told us that Dan Quayle was going to drop out of the 2000 Presidential race. The Bengals fell to 0-3 with a 27-3 loss to the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte. The Reds beat the St, Louis Cardinals 7-5 at Cinergy Field in 12
innings to continue their playoff hopes; Mark McGwire hit his 60th homer of the season there. The US Ryder Cup golf team came from behind to defeat Europe (wearing those god-awful shirts) to reclaim the cup from Europe, winning eight singles matches.
Can the 2020/1 version win at Whistling Straits? Garth Brooks unveiled his pop alter ego Chris Gaines in a new album. In the Post comics, the Pointy Headed Boss told Wally and Bilbert that the company's drinking water was OK. Wally asked why he only
drinks bottled water. The PHB said, "Because that's what the safety department drinks."

The Cincinnati Post (50 cents) told us about the manhunt for Osama bin Laden on the first anniversary of al-Qaeda bombing the American embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. Security was beefed up across the US. Twenty five months later, it turned out we
had let our guard down. The Cincinnati Reds beat Milwaukee 9-2 at County Stadium, and were two back from Houston in the National League Central Division. Tony Gwynn got his 3000th base hit, becoming the 22nd MLB player to do so and making sure that he
would be inducted in Cooperstown. Whitney Houston was turning 36 on Monday. In the Post comics, Alice said that her job was making her sick, so her doctor suggested assisted suicide.

the James Gang and Emerson, Lake and Palmer were going to perform there. Another Cincy organization not drawing well was the Cincinnati Reds. The team drew only 9,530 fans to Riverfront Stadium to see them beat the eventual World champions Pittsburgh
Pirates 5-4. In the Post and Times-Star comics, Linus told Snoopy to write a magazine article. Snoopy wrote the article - "How It Feels to be Owned by an Incompetent" - as Charlie Brown looked on.

Thel's hair was tweaked and Sam was added to the strip. And what's notable as Darryl Heine loves to point out (even though I'm sure nobody on this group really cares except for him) Today's strip was signed "Jeff and BIL Keane" which makes it the first
time lazy Jeffy has gotten away with this for a recycled pre-1972 FC Sunday strip (when they used to have the "Sideshow" feature) so with that, I'm going to assume the "Jeff and BIL Keane" signature will likely be the regular thing for FC Sunday strips
going forward (unless lazy Jeffy surprises all of us and comes up with something original).

The Cincinnati Post (35 cents) told us about the Boris Yeltsin-led Russian government fighting against the hardliners. The number one movie in America was Malice, starrting Alec Baldwin. Jurassic Park had replaced E.T. as the biggest grossing
movie in history. The Bengals - 0-4 - were going to Kansas City, here I come to play the Chiefs. Joe Montana was not expecting to play in the game. Game 1 of the ALCS between Toronto and Chicago was to be on CBS tonight! In the Post comics, Calvin
said that he doesn't need to study and learn - he can succeed with his looks and comics. Hobbes then said, "Tell me, is it static electricity that makes hair do that?"

The Cincinnati Post and Times-Star (15 cents) told us about Judy Jones, who became the new Miss Ohio when Laurie Lea Schaefer won Miss America four nights earlier. Her first duty was to appear at the opening of the new Wickes Furniture warehouse
store in Sharonville. The Reds lost to Atlanta 5-2 in front of less than 9,000 people at Riverfront Stadium. Hank Aaron hit two homers in the game. In the Post and Times-Star comics, Lucy called Schroeder. She told him she was through with him. "I didn'

Today's FC recycled was from October 4, 1999 (three days after the Indianapolis News ended.) The caption was similiar to when Slick was President of the "42nd Most Ethical White House in History."

The Cincinnati Post (50 cents) rold us about another failure for the Bengals at Cinergy Field, getting beat up by the St. Louis Rams 38-10. Kurt Warner went from Arena Football obscurity to Super Bowl XXXIV champ. The Reds were going to save the day
when they were going to play a one-game playoff against the New York Mets that night to determine the NL Wild Card team. Al Leiter threw a complete game two-hit shutout to made the Mets go to the NLDS. In the Post comics, the Pointy Headed Boss told

It should have said "that made the Mets go to the NLDS."

The Cincinnati Post (50 cents) told us that the Cincinnati Bengals were routed 34-7 by the San Diego Chargers at something called Cinergy Field. The rout was so embarrassing that Marty Brennaman told listeners about it during the Reds game in
Pittsburgh. Heather Renee French, Miss Kentucky, was named Miss America in Atlantic City. The debut episode of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit was to air at 9 pm after NBC aired Suddenly Susan and Veronica's Closet (remember them?). Yom Kippur
ended tonight. In the Post comics, Asok the intern was told to see the Pointy Headed Boss. The secretary theb told Asok that she was going to measure his torso. "Is he knitting me a sweater?" Asok replied.

The Cincinnati Post (50 cents) told us that Hamilton County was planning for Y2K compliance (remember that?). The Bengals fell to 1-5 when they lost to Pittsburgh, 17-3, on the not yet frozen tundra of Cinergy Field. A story ran about MTV's Total
Request Live, described as a modern day American Bandstand (which was dropped from Channel 12 around the same time they pulled a episode of In Concert in midshow due to an Alice Cooper performance). In LA, the Staples Center opened (cost: $375 million).

The Cincinnati Post (25 cents) featured interviews with Bengals wide receiver (still on strike) Isaac Curtis and Alabama football coach Paul "Bear" Bryant. Bama would come to Riverfront Stadium in 1984, but Bryant was dead by then. Lots of film
franchises came to local theaters: Halloween III: Season of the Witch, Stallone in the first Rambo flick, First Blood, and something called The Sender. In the Post comics, Peppermint Patty and Marcie went to a bowling tournament. Marcie said that she
doesn't fall asleep in shcool and get "D minuses, either." Marcie said, "Pitch the ball, sir!"

The Cincinnati Post (35 cents) told us that Defense Secretary Les Aspin had made an assessment about how rogue states or terrorists would use nuclear weapons or any other weapons of mass destruction against the U.S. Seven years and ten months later,
we would understand. The number one song in America was Meat Loaf's I'll Do Anything (for love, but I won't do that). Marge Schott was allowed to run the Reds after she missed the 1993 season due to using racial slurs. In the Post comics, Calvin wanted
to know we shut our eyes when we sneeze. His father told us that when he grows up and becomes a father, he will get a book.

Also, this 1994 recycled Halloween art FC strip is "Jeff and Bil Keane" signed instead of "Bil and Jeff Keane" signed.

As for recycled FC strips in 2021 to date, besides the years mentioned there was 1 from 1978, 1 from 1974, and a few from 1981.

Now what could be recycled for Thanksgiving and Christmas as we come to the last 2 months of 2021?

As for November 27, 1982, the Cincinnati Post (25 cents) told us that Mayor David Mann was stepping down. Mann lost the Cincinnati mayoral election last week. The Cincinnati Bengals (2-1) were going to host the LA Raiders at Riverfront Stadium. In
addition. Larry Holmes beat up on Randall "Tex" Cobb do badly during their World heavyweight boxing match that Howard Cosell stopped calling pro fights afterwards. In theaters, you wou;dm't lmpe wjat year it was in the theaters - E.T., the Empire Strikes

The Cincinnati Post (25 cents) wrote on its front page that 14 out of 100 people were out of work in Ohio. Also on Page 1, the Cincinnati Kurier, a German language paper, had ended. (We had 25 years of the Post remaining.) New in theaters were The
Chosen, Tex, Waitress! (not to be confused with the movie-tujrned-musical Watiress) and The Missionary. A Frank Sinatra TV special was reviewed, and it was described as "superb." In sports. the top story was the Princeton Vikings wouldn't play Moeller
Crusaders in high school football after the 1983 season. (Coincidentally, Moeller beat Princeton in the playoffs this weekend.) Buy one McRib, get one free at McDonald's! In the Post comics, Peppermint Patty knew the answer to a question from her teacher.
She said "Eight." She was wrong, and that led her to wonder, "Why does she always call on me?"

The Cincinnati Post and Times-Star (15 cents) told us about Game 1 of the 1971 World Series between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Baltimore Orioles. (By the way. what happened for the first time at the World Series four days later?). Coming to the
Cincinnati Gardens on November 11...ELVIS! ARON! PRESLEY! The Cincinnati Royals were getting ready for their final season here by giving away a new car on Opening Night against Atlanta three nights later at the Gardens. In the Post and Times-Star
comics, Charlie Brown and Snoopy were walking away from Peppermint Patty and Marcie.

The Cincinnati Post reported that Slick and the "42nd Most Ethical White House in History" was in Kosovo, as part of celebrations marking the end of the war over there. In the sports section's countdown of the top 50 stories of the 20th century, number
5 nationally was the rise of television in sports. Number 5 locally was Pete Rose passing Ty Cobb to become the all time hit king in MLB. In the Post comics, a guy looking like the Devil was going to turn the company around. When Asok asked what will it
take to turn around the company, he was decapitated.

The Cincinnati Post (50 cents) told us about how Bengals fans were giving away their seat licenses for the soon to open Paul Brown Stadium. In the sports section, the countdown of the top 50 sports stories of the 20th century hit Number 4 with the rise
of pro football (nationally) and the Cincinnati Bearcats winning the 1961 and 1962 NCAA basketball championships. In the Post comics, Dilbert saw Carol with her two children. When Dilbert wanted to know why they were in the office instead of day care,

The Cincinnati Post (35 cents) reported that Euro Disney (remember that?)'s stock plunged. I don't remember a store called Gantos, which was going into liquidation. Pre-wardrobe malfunction, Janet Jackson played in front of 12,000 people at
Riverfront Coliseum. New in theaters:"We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story." The winless Bengals told quarterback David Klingler that he would be out as starter if he didn't produce. In the Post comics, Calvin's brain had grown, and he was going to write a
paper on tyrannosaurs - were they "fearsome predators or disgusting savages." Calvin told Hobbes that he was going to take the predators' position, because they were so much cooler than savages.

The Cincinnati Post and Times-Star (15 cents) told us about the hijacking of a plane by a guy dubbed "D.B. Cooper". We still don't know who he is. The paper devoted much of the sports page to the college football "Game of the Century" between Oklahoma
and Nebraska, which Nebraska won 35-31. The Cincinnati Royals were going to host the World Champion Milwaukee Bucks the following night (the Bucks won 114-81 behind Oscar Robertson's 25 against his former team and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's 20). Channel 5
aired a Phil Donahue special from the Ohio State Penitentiary in prime time. In the Post and Times-Star comics, Snoopy touched Woodstock's face and said, "I smoothed a ruffled feather!'"

The Cincinnati Post and TImes-Star (15 cents) told us on the front page another plane hijacking. Three murder suspects hijacked a TWA jet to Cuba. At the movies, Carnal Knowledge was playing at the International 70 downtown. Cine Carousel was now
open on Reading Road (it's gone, now like the International 70). Channel 12 had Army-Navy and Auburn-Alabama college football. Not interested? Check out Roller Derby on Channel 19(the Cincinnati Jolters against the Midwest Pioneers). The derby was
coming to town the following month. The Cincinnati Royals lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers, 128-114. Despite a losing record, the Royals were in second place in their division. The Bengals were seven point favorites against the San Diego Chargers at
Riverfront Stadium. In the Post and Times-Star comics, Sally Brown whacked a leaf like a baseball bat. "I love raking!" she exclaimed.

Also noticed Dolly's eyes were tweaked in the recycled 1971 "Are snowmen bald" though Jimmy has yet to show links to the last 2 days of original FC strips that got recycled.

Now to explain my absence from this thread the last few days. I had a doctor's appointment earlier this week and I'm trying to get more into a healthy mind frame and staying up until roughly 12:30 AM East Coast time to report on FC daily is not healthy
at all (I'll still be able to report on FC as early as I can on Saturdays and Sundays but the rest of the week will be a bit later at best).

Of course if lazy Jeffy can be bothered to put more of an effort into producing fresh Family Circus strips instead of relying on Daddy's recycled material, this wouldn't even be an issue.

The Cincinnati Post and Times-Star (15 cents) told us that an orphanage in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) might have killed 400 people. They also reported on mass murderer John List, who was wanted in the murder of five members of his family in New
Jersey (he was finally captured in 1989 after he appeared on America's Most Wanted). The Cincinnati Royals lost to the Philadelphia 76ers 115-109 at the Cincinnati Gardens ()the following year, the Royals were gone and the Sixers lost 73 games). In the
Post and Times-Star comics, Li'l Abner had a Native American on who was so stereotypical that he wouldn't appear today due to political correctness. They were running the Disney Christmas comic (The Christmas Conspiracy) - are we ever to see one ever
    again?

The Cincinnati Post and Times-Star (10 cents) had on Page 1 Jacqueline Kennedy attending the Broadway musical On A Clear Day You Can See Forever. Watch Green Acres in color on Channel 9 at 9 p.m. Bill Russell of the Boston Celtics said the Cincinnati
Royals were the NBA (nine teams!) team they wanted to beat. The Celtics beat the St. Louis Hawks, while The Big O and the Royals were idle. In the college game, Xavier was going to play Canisius that night at their Field House. Get a loaf of bread at
UDF for only 16 cents! In the Post and Times-Star comics, Sally - wearing an eye patch - said to Charlie Brown that a classmates of hers called her Long John Silver. "I hurt my hand giving him a judo chop!" she exclaimed. (BTW, what happened the next

On what should have been the 30th anniversary of Judge Parker in the E-----r, the Cincinnati Post (25 cents) told us that a average driver will pay $30 a year thanks to Reagan' proposed five cents a gallon gas tax. An ad for Channel 9's Newswatch told
us what the future of newspapers here would be. We had a quarter of a century of the Post remaining. New in theaters was some movie called Goodby, Cruel World. In the Post comics, Snoopy got a rejection letter from the people whom he submitted a story.
The letter ended with it was suitable for publication, "we're in trouble." Five days later, the Post got rid of Funky Winkerbean (Harry Dinkle was trying to sell turkeys instead of band candy), but brought it back two weeks later.

I wanted to wait until now to mention it but Today is the 56th anniversary of the day "A Charlie Brown Christmas" first aired on CBS. It would go on to air on CBS annually before moving to ABC in 2001 and airing on Apple TV+ and PBS last year.

The Cincinnati Post (35 cents) told about the Bengals fans' highs and lows of the eventual Super Bowl XXIII participants, as they were going to host Washington that afternoon (the Bengals won). The Post ran excerpted reviews of Rain Man (partially
filmed here - 97x! Bam! The Future of Rock and Roll!) on its way to the Academy Award for Best Picture. In the Post comics, pictures of Calvin were shown. Calvin's dad said that they can't be in Christmas cards because "they're too sacrilegious."
Calvin's mom replied that the photos "do look like Calvin...except for the combed hair."

BTW, at newspapers.com, the Elwood (Indiana) Call-Leader ran the strip December 5.

The Cincinnati Post and Times-Star (15 cents) had on page one a story about a man named John Stone, who got an early Christmas present: a birth certificate. On TVF, NBC aired Columbo - but Channel 5 preempted it to show the movie Moment to Moment
starring Jean Seberg. Oh, and watch Carol Burnett at 8 pm on Channel 9 (soon after, it moved to Saturday nights at 10). See Fiddler on the Roof, only at the Valley Theatre. The Cincinnati Royals announced that Sam Lacey (whose #44 was retired by the
franchise after they left town) and Jim Fox would get a start against the Phoenix Suns at the Gardens (they were on a losing streak that end after 14 games in 1972). In the Post and Times-Star comics, Lucy and Snoopy were practicing for a skating show
    the next night.

It should be noted that the man who wrote Dear Basketball - an ACADEMY AWARD WINNING ANIMATED SHORT - was born, lived and died in the half century since.

As For the Cincinnati Post and Times-Star (15 cents), it had on Page One a story aboutthe South Pole temperature at 108 degrees BELOW ZERO. Ohio Governor John Gllligan (the Skipper, Too!) announced his endorsement for the 1972 Presidential election -
Sen. Edmund Muskie of Maine. The Post and Times-Star's Mary Wood interviewed Don Rickles from LA. Catch the Oral Roberts Christmas Special with Burl Ives and Della Reese on Channel 5. See the eventually Oscar winning best picture - The French Connection -
at the Ambassador theater. The UC basketball Bearcats routed Clemson 93-64 at the Armory Fieldhouse. In the Post and Times-Star comics, Sally told Charlie Brown that she wanted a horse for Christmas.

The Cincinnati Post (25 cents) showed us on page one a dramatic photo of "a bank of stratocumulus clouds" coming over the city as colder air was coming in. The Post in an ad said that 1,559 towns and cities in the USA had a daily newspaper-a record,
and that 165 of them had two or more, Cincy among them. That number has gone down significantly since them. Catch the People's Court twice s day at 5 and 7:30 pm on WCPO (the next year, they aired Wheel of Fortune at 7:30 - whatever happened to Wheel
anyway?). BTW, I was a contributor to the alt.tv.game-shows newsgroup. The UC men's basketball team lost 69-52 at Marquette. In the Post comics, Lucy shouted at Linus three times. Linus countered with, "That's one more than the recommended daily
    allowance!"

The Cincinnati Post and Times-Star (15 cents) told us (speaking of recycling) that over 90 tons of Christmas and other holiday paper were recycled, thanks to City residents. On TV, Channel 12 aired a special from the Day of Discovery religious show
instead of ABC programming. The show was taped at Cypress Gardens in Florida, and featured water skiing acts. Then they aired Sports Challenge with Dick Enberg, and then the North-South All-Star Football Game from Miami! See Morganna at Galaxie House!
The top local sports story was the Cincinnati Swords of the American Hockey League defeating Cleveland 7-4 at the Gardens. According to the Post and Times-Star comics that day, Charles Schulz was the artist on...Miss Peach!

The Cincinnati Post(35 cents) told us on Page 1 that Bush 41 wasmaking his last international trip as President. He was in Somalia .to visit soldiers. statlined there. Now in theaters: the Oscar winning Scent of a Woman. In the Post comics, Calvin told
Hobbes how crabby humans are. He then explained to Hobbes that animals can sleep up to 15 hours a day. In the last frame, Calvin was hiding behind a tree; he then wondered if animals are just as crabby as humans.
