    The problem is not Thunderbird. It is Usenet itself. It's pure text
    messaging from the 1980s, and once you type it, it's there. At least Thunderbird lets you use a keyboard to get there, and it has a spell
    checker. (Thunderbird just now told me how to spell "Thunderbird"
    without a capital H.) But nothing will make you say "bad" ought to be
    "good". And that's probably a "good" thing. 8{D>
