(tiny death notice)
Not to be confused with the much younger British pop singer.
From Amazon:
"Linda Jennings was born in Sussex and began her career as a children's book editor. She has written over thirty children's books, many for Little Tiger Press. She now works as a freelance editor and writer, and lives in Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire, with
her two cats."
One of her more popular original picture books seems to be "Lost in the Snow" (2008). It's about a puppy.
Her first book was published in 1979. She started by retelling tales, mainly those by Andersen and Grimm, plus the ballet "Coppelia," until 1986, when she began writing her own stories for small children. In the 1990s, she abridged "A Tale of Two Cities,"
"Great Expectations," and Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" and "Sense and Sensibility."
