Any Kenosha Shoreliners out there?
I was a tenor in the late 60's; I was in the rookie corps when I was in my early teens; I moved to the corps when I was thirteen. Eddie Wersinski was the main man with the Zellmers as driver of the van and his daughter the drum major and his two sons on
the drum line. I hated the Kilties and revered the Cavilers; I later found out that Eddie's son was a member of the Cavs. He has long since passed away, but was a traitor. I remember indoctrination of new members. The black kids we would take our white
shoe polish and paint them. We all ran around in our underwear in the armory. No one ego was hurt; it was just really stupid fun. Now I realize it was not ok to do that.
