At 9800 members formed in 300 ranks, the worlds largest marching band marched and performed in Holyrood Park in Edinburgh Scotland on the 21st of August 2005.

The Sydney 2000 Olympic Band for the Opening Ceremonies was 2,000 members from 23 nations, all music and drill designed, rehearsed and performing as one ensemble. (No auxiliary units, just instrumentalists.)
