was the first, and thus the oldest one (with WW2 heroes).

That was the ONLY problem with the old system, and a simple "We're Earth 1
because we got to choose the names" took care of it.

I think it was Marv Wolfman who went to editor Julie Schwartz and
proposed an Earth where the Nazis had won WW2, and the rest of the
world spent the next four decades rising up and defeating them. Marv
wanted to call it Earth-[swastika], but Julie said not in his magazines
and, in fact, not ever. Julie didn't want the swastika in dialogue.
They quickly settled on Earth-X.

I think in the current continuity, Dianna has only been in "Man's
World" for a few years at the most. It's possible of course that
all of that still happened in one of the alternate universes.

I've been pretty happy with the current run.

I was fine with the way Crisis On Infinite Earths turned out. They should have left it as it was.

Or not done it in the first place. I had no trouble explaining Earth
1 &
Earth 2 to muggles. The Crisis? Forget about it.
