But what about the WW2 elements from the comic?

    Also gone.

I think in the current continuity, Dianna has only been in "Man's World"

I've been pretty happy with the current run.

I was fine with the way Crisis On Infinite Earths turned out.
They should have left it as it was.

I would have called them "mundanes," but same, same.

    The Crisis? Forget about it.

One could at least lend them 12 issues or a trade paperback,
and tell them "the premise is there are parallel worlds, and
some of the supers know the other supers on the other worlds.
    Then this happens..."

Any "DC World" with a Superman who isn't the First of the
Suoerheroes rankles me. I liked post-Crisis JSA, All-Star
Squadron and Young All-Stars stories, but I didn't like their
    "Superman hasn't landed yet" background.

Earth-3 was dominated by EVIL. Earth-S was the home of the real
Captain Marvel, and some people can't take whimsy.

You should know better by now than to ask that.

Now, Earth-4 and Earth-X have been totally ignored in the discussion,
    not to mention Earth-12, Earth-A, Earth-B, Earth-C, or Earth C-.

    See:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_DC_Multiverse_worlds#Original_Multiverse for a LOT of others.

Earth-4 didn't appear, and weren't named, until the Crisis, though
stories published by Charlton in the 60s probably took place there.

Or not done it in the first place. I had no trouble explaining Earth >>>>>>> 1 &
Earth 2 to muggles. The Crisis? Forget about it.

That's a measn thing to say about Hairy Pooter fans!

I always remember there being confusion because one would think Earth-1 >>>>>> was the first, and thus the oldest one (with WW2 heroes).

That was the ONLY problem with the old system, and a simple "We're Earth 1
because we got to choose the names" took care of it.
    I never brought up Earth-Prime.

Nor did you mention Earth-3 or Earth-S.

    I seldom do.

I think it was Marv Wolfman who went to editor Julie Schwartz and
proposed an Earth where the Nazis had won WW2, and the rest of the
world spent the next four decades rising up and defeating them. Marv
wanted to call it Earth-[swastika], but Julie said not in his magazines
and, in fact, not ever. Julie didn't want the swastika in dialogue.
    They quickly settled on Earth-X.

Yeah. And how would you pronounce it anyway? It's like the silly Prince symbol.

    You mean that swastika symbol?
    How about... 'swastika'? :-)

    The Crisis? Forget about it.

One could at least lend them 12 issues or a trade paperback,
and tell them "the premise is there are parallel worlds, and

Any "DC World" with a Superman who isn't the First of the

Earth-3 was dominated by EVIL. Earth-S was the home of the real
Captain Marvel, and some people can't take whimsy.

You should know better by now than to ask that.

Now, Earth-4 and Earth-X have been totally ignored in the discussion,
    not to mention Earth-12, Earth-A, Earth-B, Earth-C, or Earth C-.

    See:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_DC_Multiverse_worlds#Original_Multiverse
    for a LOT of others.

Earth-4 didn't appear, and weren't named, until the Crisis, though
stories published by Charlton in the 60s probably took place there.

Then there's Earth prime where Q-ball and his Sliders gang started from. ;-) <http://sliders.wikia.com/wiki/Earth_Prime>

But at some point you have to explain that all the heroes that were at the
