The CW's Supergirl will be adding three new characters for this
fall's fourth season: Manchester Black, Dreamer, and Colonel Haley.
Announced at the show's Comic-Con International: San Diego panel,
these characters will be played by David Ajala, Nicole Maines, and
    April Parker Jones, respectively.

Nia Nal, a.k.a., Dreamer, is a transgender superhero played by
Maines - herself a transgender woman. Scheduled as a series regular
role, Nal is the newest hire at Catco - described as "a soulful
young transgender woman with a fierce drive to protect others." Over
the course of the season, Nal will be coming into her own as a
superhero. Altough not confirmed, the character seems related to
Legion of Superheroes' Nura Nal - Dream Girl.

Parker Jones will be a series regular as well, playing Colonel Haley
    - a "hardline career military woman [that] lives and dies by the
    orders of her commanding officers."

Manchester Black, played by David Ajala, is described as having "a
dark past" that leads him to deflect "the brutality of his mission
with his charm and sense of humor."

Jesse Rath and Sam Witwer were previously cast as Brainiac-5 and
Agent Liberty, respectively, for the upcoming season.

Supergirl's fourth season is scheduled to begin October 14 on the
    CW.
