Yes, it's true. During many Muppet productions, the set smelled like shit. You could clearly tell from their voices and movements that the other Muppeteers were gagging from the odor. It was always confirmed when Steve's loaded undies were found
stuffed inside the Kermit puppet. Guess Disney had enough of this and finally decided to fire him.
