Thompson Aligned Radius Directed Impulse Source.
I saw this in a loudspeaker advertisement in The Absolute Sound. The
pictured speakers are about 3 times the length of a violin in height.
The base is about 12" square. They look like a tall elegant column. Not >unlike the Master's TARDIS when it assumed columnar form.
I found it interesting that somewhere out there, is a Dr. Who fan making
a living in the audio business.

They might not be "making a living" for long. If the BBC finds out,
they could potentially be sued.

They might not be "making a living" for long. If the BBC finds out,
they could potentially be sued. Although the BBC's trademark name
doesn't include dot characters, just "TARDIS", it could be argued that
it is too close and confusing. / misleading.
There is an audio-visual business here in New Zealand that has been
using an image of a police call box in their advertising for years. You
can see it on their website, especially at the bootom of their home
page: <https://www.avworld.co.nz> There is no mention of Doctor Who, so
the BBC probably can't do anything to stop them using a generic police
call box image ... then again, the UK Police did fail to stop the BBC >trademarking the police call box image. ><https://www.theguardian.com/media/2002/oct/23/bbc.broadcasting1>

Well, if the BBC haven't done anything about it in the last 30 years
I'd say they'll get away with it! ;-)

Umm! I don't know IF they were '"making a living" for long' but, as the
post is from June, 1990, I'm guessing if they haven't been caught by
now, they probably don't care!! :-)
Perhaps I should have included that date in my OP!! Oh!! I did!! ;-P
