Does anybody know if they used the original Eastman Color Technirama negative which Robert Harris
did not use in 1991 or did they scan the B/W separations?

    They used both, AFAIK.

Having been scanned at 6K and finished at 4K for optimal quality,
they've used the latest techniques to marry the faded original with the separate colour records, breathing new life into the waning negative.

Interesting article. Thanks for that. I see that its a Region Free Blu-ray
so that I can view it here in Australia.
I'll see if I can obtain further information about how they combined the original Negative with the b/w separations.

    Best regards,

According to Robert Harris they used the original camera negative plus the yellow b/w separation for the majority of the film. Occasional scenes where the original negative did not exist they used the three separations.

Very interesting, thanks. It it a pity that it is 4K only. I would like
to see 70 mm prints made this way.
