It's still breaking the rules: every day a misery, every day an
    appalling descent into turmoil.

Let's just wait 'til Dirty Den returns again. Prolly when Chrissie gets
    an early release.

    What? Huh?

Did Leslie Grantham die recently? Please help a poor
clueless colonial. What was the cause of death? Mysterious
    circumstances?

I didn't think he was that old, although hard living can
    age a person quickly.

I read the articles on BBC World News, and they didn't
mention the cause, just that he had returned to England
for medical treatment and that he died in hospital.

Better than being buried in the basement of the Queen
    Vic I guess.

I very recently watched a lot of episodes with Den in detention awaiting trial as Frank and Pat took over the Vic. Good stuff. Too bad they can't make the show like that now.
