• Full impulse is warp 6 according to Geordi

    I thought impulse engines were only used while travelling in a system (ie planet to planet) while warp engines are for system to system (ie sector001 to say Kronos star system)...at wolf 359 the enterprise used impulse engines while pursuing the borg

    Yeah I agree but it was really just a production error that the producer didn't want to re-shoot. Also 1/4 impulse in equal to 1/4 the speed of light so one would assume full impulse is the full speed of light. Anything beyond that is considered a "warp
    speed" requiring the use of a warp field to negate gaining infinite mass.
