There was a great commercial for one of the tire companies,=20
promoting how they were better then "steel belted" (remember=20
those?) as they used ... Kevlar.=20
    =20
And the spokesman praising that material was listed=20
    as... "Isaac Asimov, Biochemist".=20
    =20
Not sure which company it was.=20

On the basis of the assumption that there would have also
been a print ad with Isaac Asimov also endorsing the product,
I thought it would be easy to find out.

    .....

So, armed with that information, I tried just searching
for "tire" together with "Isaac Asimov", but I still came
    up empty.

fwiw, I both saw the advert and then, a few years later,
a reference to it in a writeup in one of the SF magazines
where the author described, yes, seeing the advert
and being impressed by this new material, and especially
by the spokesman whose titling did, as I mentioned
earlier, label him as "Isaac Asimov, Biolchemist".

    (Possibly "chemist").

So maybe... as some of these magazines (likely Analog
but I read plenty in those days) have been both
    officially and surreptitiouly put online...

The other Asimov advert I'd love to track down, but
was unsuccessful a decade ago [a]:

In roughly 1980 NYC gov't, in conjunction with the
univesities, ran tv adverts with the tagline
"New York, it's a great college town!". it featured
five or so second vignets of moderately well
known folk who simply appeared on camera and
called out, as in his case "Isaac Asimov, COLUMBIA!"

Which, in his specific situation, was quite,
    umm, something or another.

[a] I wrote to a half dozen of the univ PR dep'ts
and none of them recalled it... (Although
Columbia did find a print advert which
featured pictures of a big bunch of their
alumni, one of which was Asimov...)

The paper advert, which was in the NYT Magazine:
