    All of the castle moats that I have seen were muddy and nasty. That
    moat looks too clean, especially with the creatures inhabiting it.

    I prefer my water transparent.

    I'm imagining the moat around your castle and
    that environmental ordinances for e.g. moat water
    quality are not well observed.

    Once, about 50 years ago, he ended up in the moat, yelling at
    the monster or monsters, "Get back, you fool, it's me!"
