    It gets tough to tell if I've read an anthology or just the stories elsewhere. "All About 'The Thing'" must have been in here; paired with "Put Them All Together, They Spell Monster" and Merril's comments and Year in Review, gave young me a taste of the
    span of literary ways to comment on the passing scene.

    This would be where I discovered the Weans in the late '70s just in time to jaundice my view of the book _Motel of the Mysteries_ plowing the same ground. (The motel was in the "Toot 'n' Come On" chain, you can guess what late '70s exhibition inspired
    it.)
